The Good Market, one of Colombo’s vibrant cultural hubs, showcasing some of Sri Lanka’s healthiest, tastiest treats on offer will be celebrating their second birthday today. To celebrate, they will be opening a Night Market. They’ll be open from 3 to 11pm, letting those who have not been able to go on Thursdays because of work, head down there after Rush Hour. As they say on their Facebook page “You’ll find tasty natural foods, organic fruits and veggies, ethical handicrafts and household products, kids programs, live music and much more!”
For those who are unfamiliar about the Good Market, here is a description from their Facebook page.
“* Thursdays 12-8 at Diyatha Uyana market stalls, Waters Edge, Battaramulla
* Saturdays 10-6 at the Nuga Tree car park, Colombo Racecourse, Colombo 07
The Good Market is a weekly celebration of organically grown produce, natural foods and snacks, non-toxic housewares and garden supplies, handmade and fair trade crafts, live music, kids’ programs, and much more.
It is a place to meet friends, enjoy a family outing, and find a range of healthy, environmentally friendly, ethical products that are not readily available anywhere else in Sri Lanka.
The Good Market is a volunteer-driven event so get involved and help spread the word.”
